Chevrolet Code 130R and Tru 140S Concepts Aimed at Emerging Demographic

Over the past year Chevrolet has staged some pretty outrageous stunts involving the new Chevy Sonic in order to kick flip and skydive its way into the heart of Millennials. Coastal Chevrolet counts this effort a good idea, considering the tech-hungry generation has an eye for highly-connected new vehicles but has not yet developed loyalty towards a particular brand. Chevy's goal? Turn the Millennial generation into the Chevrolet generation.

Making its first major strides towards winning over a younger consumer crowd, Chevrolet released a few youth driven concepts at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.  The first, the Code 130R is a daring model based off iconic muscle cars with a three-box design, upright greenhouse and thick fender flares. Similar in appeal, the Tru 140S concept is based on the Chevrolet Cruze yet is more racy and, according to critics, "affordably exotic."1

Both new Chevrolet models feature a 150-horsepower, 1.4-liter turbocharged engine and come complete with absolutely no interior details. That's right. Truly sticking to its goal of creating youth-friendly models, Chevrolet will gather feedback from young consumers around the country regarding the kinds of technology and features that should be present if the models make it to production. Talk about some serious consumer involvement.

While Chevy may be aiming these latest concepts at a growing demographic, the legendary automaker also adheres to its loyal brand followers. That's why the brand continues to release new Chevrolet vehicles built on the same strong foundational standards present from the very beginning. To learn more about where Chevy has been or where it's headed in the future, feel free to swing by Coastal Chevrolet at 5905 Ogeechee Highway Savannah, GA 31419 and ask as many questions as you'd like.
