Chevrolet Sonic Can Handle a Seth Mile. Can You?

Let's be honest. Those in the Savannah area generally encounter a consistent driving environment on a day to day basis. But what if for some reason or another, you were required to tackle extreme terrain? Wouldn't you want to know that your new Chevrolet model can hold its own in even the harshest conditions? Well, good news, it can!

Each and every Chevrolet vehicle that rolls off the production line has comprehensive testing and in-depth examinations behind it. Right now, [Dealer] would like to zoom in on the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic. As part of the adventurous small car's test routine, Chevrolet calls on Sonic Quality Manager Seth Valentine. This Sonic aficionado takes the vehicle on trips across some of the most diverse driving environments including mountains, deserts and marshy lowlands.

Most recently, Valentine took the 2012 Sonic variant on a 14,000-Seth-mile-long trip. What is a "Seth mile" you ask? Well, because Valentine has acquired a reputation for pushing vehicles to their maximum potential, the distance he covers has been respectfully given its own unique measurement. Regarding his job, the Chevy team member notes, "In the course of one week I can go from below sea level at 120 degrees F to below freezing temperatures at 12,000 feet above sea level. We can experience everything the customer might experience."1

During each test trip, Valentine and his team compile a list of vehicle aspects that need to be reworked or tweaked before the model hits production and, most importantly, goes to the consumers. Coastal Chevrolet for one, feels extremely comforted to know that each and every Chevy vehicle is examined so carefully. To learn more about what goes on behind the Chevrolet scenes, feel free to swing by 5905 Ogeechee Highway Savannah, GA 31419 and talk to us in person.
