Silverado Texas Edition Arrives

Familiar with the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado HD? You know, the truck named 2011 Truck of the Year by Motor Trend magazine? Well, it's getting a new special edition for the 2012 model year - one which Coastal Chevrolet is really excited about.
To reflect the aesthetic and technological flair added to the interior and exterior, it's called the Texas Edition. Don't worry. The 2012 Silverado doesn't lose any of the integrity that made the 2011 edition a favorite. Speaking on the development the new Texas Edition, Dave Nottoli, Regional Director, Sales & Marketing, Chevrolet said, "We started with the Chevrolet Silverado HD, and gave it some attitude."1
Nottoli later went on explain the data which spurred the concept of the Texas Edition, in the first place. "Texans currently buy about one out of every six heavy-duty pickups sold in the United States," he advised. "When you take the capability of the Silverado HD, then add the features and amenities of the Texas Edition, we think it will be a hit here in the Lone Star State."2

Also, while the 2500HD Texas Edition comes with larger 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, the 3500HD Texas Edition comes with either 18-inch or 17-inch wheels, depending on drive.
