New Chevy Caprice Hits the Beat

Chevrolet has been taking notes. Specifically, they've been monitoring police cruisers, identifying a long list of things that could be improved to help cops do their jobs better, and ultimately provide them with greater comfort.
After they finished identifying ways to tailor a car specifically for the men and women in blue, Chevy went to work creating the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Caprice PPV. After taking our first look at the Caprice PPV, we can say it is a finely crafted tool of the trade - certain to win over even the most discerning police officers out there.
Among the Chevy Caprice PPV's more interesting features and design elements are a more spacious back seat area which allows a prisoner partition to be in place without forcing the front seats to an uncomfortable 90-degree angle, and specially cut seat belts made to accommodate all of an officer's bulky gear. To shed clearer insight into the numerous features/benefits the new 2012 Chevy Caprice PPV has to offer, we have provided a brief overview below.
2012 Chevrolet Caprice PPV At a Glance
- Zero-to-60 MPH Acceleration Time: Less than 6 seconds!
- Top Speed: 155 MPH
- Cop-spec, anti-lock calibration
- Stopping Distance (from 60 MPH): Class-leading 125.8 feet
- Extra-supportive seats
- Airbags: Eight standard, including new knee airbags (two addition airbags, optional)
As you can see, Chevy focused on speed, agility, comfort and safety when they were designing the new Caprice PPV. A benefit that's not evident from the specs above, is their attention to ensuring longevity and ease of maintenance. The American automaker even went so far as to fit the Caprice cruiser with a "walk-in" front end as well as easy lift-off doors. Given the fact it's currently available only as a PPV, the resale value of the 2012 Caprice is anticipated to be very high.
