Edgy Chevy Sonic RS

Chevy is giving drivers one more reason to choose the Sonic, in the 2013 model year - a new variant called the Chevy Sonic RS. Underscoring the Sonic's position as the only model in its class to feature an available turbocharged engine, the RS comes with a standard tubo powerplant that produces 138 get-up-and-go horsepower.

The exterior as been boldly redesigned to reflect this power with enhancements to aerodynamics, as well as the addition of four new exterior colors. In a word, the look is hip. The driving experience is something we could all probably use a little more of: fun.

The athletic attitude of the Chevy Sonic RS's engine and exterior are matched by an equally sporty interior. Among the many components drivers will enjoy are the sport seats, steering wheel and pedals. Track-inspired aesthetics are only the half of it. To keep drivers fully connected and entertained while maintaining safe driving habits, the Chevy Sonic RS is equipped with MyLink and Bluetooth.

There's one more base Chevy has covered. Advanced beyond all six of its sibling models, the Sonic RS features a special system which integrates four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and brake force distribution. This allows the Chevy Sonic RS to automatically adjust braking force to different variables such as road conditions or a significant addition/ reduction to load weight.

Speaking on the Sonic RS, slated to debut early this winter at the North American International, John Mack, Design Director, Chevy Sonic boasts, "From every angle and every touch point, it's a car that is unabashed in its performance statement."1. One might say the Sonic RS is a posterchild for how Chevy is upshifting vehicle performance as they venture forth toward their second century.
